NOURA Design Studio is an interior architecture practice in Riyadh, crafting timeless interiors for the region's most discerning clients.
Story
The studio was founded in 2016 on a simple observation: Riyadh was building faster than anywhere on earth, and almost none of it was built to last in the heart. Marble was everywhere; meaning was rare.
We chose the opposite path — fewer projects, longer timelines, materials with memory. A decade later, our work lives in private estates, royal commissions, boutique hotels and the executive floors of the Kingdom's financial district. None of it shouts. All of it endures.
Mission
To design interiors that feel inevitable — spaces a family grows into, never out of.
Design Philosophy
We practice subtraction. Every project begins by removing — noise, trend, excess — until only the essential architecture of a life remains. What stays is then executed without compromise.
Light is our first material, silence our second. Stone, timber and fabric come third, and only ever in service of the first two.
Materials
We buy stone at the quarry and timber at the mill. Travertine, walnut, limestone, bronze — materials with memory, chosen at the source and allowed to age with grace.
Craftsmanship
Our joinery is made in Italian ateliers; our plaster is troweled by hand. We would rather wait months for the right maker than settle in a week for the almost-right one.
Approach
One idea per house, carried without compromise from the first sketch to the last cushion. Fewer decisions, made better — that is the whole method.
Behind the Studio
A material library, a long oak table, and no clocks.
Our studio in Al Olaya is arranged around a single table where stone, timber and fabric meet before any drawing begins. Renders are reviewed only at the hour of day they depict. Decisions are slept on. It is a slow way to work — and the only way we know to make rooms that outlive their decade.
